Training began this week for 4/20 and Toronto’s 2010 Global Marijuana March. My training regime besides taking my vitamins, saying my payers and marijuana vaporizing is pilates.
I’m signed up for six months at Ugly Duckling Pilates in Rosedale.
Started my first lesson on Friday, Feb. 5.
Already I’ve learned something new.
My breathing is very shallow. I’m not using all my muscles because of chronic pain problems. Certain muscles are just too angry with pain they’re not doing their job when I fill my lungs up with air.
They’re not doing their job at all!
The result, I’m not able to hit a bong filled with marijuana buds as well.
Or for that matter do a butane honey oil (BHO) hit at Vapor Central.
With pilates I intend to change all that.
I’m going to destroy Vapor Central Lounge Heads with many hardy 18 inch RooR bong rips come Apr 20.
My tolerance isn’t an issue.
Just breathing.
Hence pilates.
The one-on-one soon to be small group lesson was very rewarding and relaxing. With the happiness buzz from stretching and breathing last a night and bit of Saturday morning too. I can do the motions very slowly, but require plenty of coaching to get them right. By plenty of coaching I do mean plenty of coaching.
This breathing thing is tough.
Like physiotherapy I do require coaching to develop a stick to it attitude.
With chronic pain, some days worst than others, it’s difficult to maintain a strong groove. Though I know I should do some stretching, some days my muscles are just too angry to do them.
Even with medicinal marijuana.
It’s an incredible mental challenge to overcome.
For any person with fibromyalgia.
Breathing and flexibility will allow me to rip a bong much better, protest stronger and most importantly enhance my sex life.
