Globe & Mail Wrong On Med-Ganja

Ganja Greetings,

The Globe and Mail did a shoddy job reporting on something medical marijuana related few days ago. Their reporter called one person, Osgoode Hall law professor Alan Young, then proceeded to write a terrible article. I’d expect something like this from Toronto Sun, not G&M. Who recently let their pit bull columnist Christie Blatchford rant about journalism ethics and how she has them and bloggers don’t.

So funny bong water went out my nose!

For the record professor Young has represented me on my past pot problems and I’ve helped him with some writing woe. Paul Lewin is representing me for the big prohibition throw down Jan. 17, 2011.

I’ve read plenty of these kind of Globe and Mail articles quoting professor Young before. About two decade’s worth. In some circles it’s called  ‘the power of the professor.’ It’s his game plan. He calls the crown in a cannabis case and figures his legal aura will solve it his way. Generally speaking it does. I watched a $10 cannabis charge disappear…the crown wanted 60 days.

When Chris Goodwin was picked up in April for my balcony grow-op – on a two year-old outstanding warrant – professor Young faxed duty counsel instructions. Goodwin’s charges were thrown out.

Young probably made a call into a crown on someone’s behalf and is now using the G&M for media leverage. Soon someone’s charges will get dropped. If all goes according to plan. The professor lines up yet another assault on Health Canada med pot program. Round three.

However, our reporter alludes Young might be thinking something bigger. Globe and Mail quotes Young, “This is has gone on too long. It’s time to bring out the heavy guns.”
