Sensi Seeds Introduces New Package Design

Amsterdam most popular marijuana seed breeder Sensi Seeds has redesigned their packaging for 2010. The new and improved package design will begin rolling out as they replace old seed packets.
Here’s what to look for.

  1. Medicinal Herb Logo
  2. The Quality Seal It should be opened by using a pointed object (such as the tip of a pencil) to gently push the centre of the seal inwards. This will leave a hole which allows seeds to be removed from the packet one at a time.
  3. The seed-shaped blister is made from tough A-PET plastic and offers the best possible protection to the seeds inside.

It’s another effort by Sensi Seeds to battle constant marijuana seed counterfeiting.
Their marijuana marketing moto is “Get the best, buy original.”
Sensi Seeds has unenforceable trademarks (Hindu Kush, Jack Herer, Shiva Shanti and Hash Plant) on several of their cannabis seeds in an effort to prevent counterfeiting of their popular strains.
Hindu Kush and Hash Plant are widely available from other seed banks.
Sensi Seeds sees this as a problem with the illegal marijuana seed industry.
And would like marijuana breeders to stop naming their strains after their already established names.
Their newsletter informed customers, “As is the case with other well-known, well-respected brands, Sensi Seeds has its share of copycats and imitators, some of whom even use Sensi logos, strain-names and graphics to sell inferior seeds.”
Though not every bean from Sensi Seeds is great.

Their Big Bud is terrible and Jack Herer is nothing to write home about either.
Unfortunately with marijuana seeds they all generally look the same.
Though Greenhouse Seeds is starting to develop methods to make their beans look different via a color dye system of sorts.
Not until the cannabis seeds are grown do marijuana growers actually know if they got the real article.
Nothing worst than believing your growing a short squat indica when the marijuana plant is actually a tall lanky sativa.
It’s happened more than once!
Ordering from reputable marijuana seed banks dramatically cuts down on this problem.
However, until legalization marijuana growers won’t be able to tell if they received the original seeds when they placed their order until the plants start to grow.
