My Constitutional Challenge Goes Ahead

November 17, 2009 by Mernahuana divider image

Do You Have A Right To Grow Med Marijuana?

Been chelazing at my parent’s St. Catharines home since Sunday.

Making my commute for my Monday morning court appearance on my personal growing charge much easier.

Court takes sometime to get stuff done. I’m beyond the point of speedy trial. We waived that three appearances ago to build a solid foundation for a medicinal marijuana argument.

Finally something is going to happen.

I’ve been committed to trial!

One more appearance to set the date to set the date for the start of the trial is going to take place Dec. 22 in Ontario Superior Court.

We’re looking at getting it on Spring 2010.

My favorite time of year because of Wrestlemania and 420 signal the start of summer.

It’s going to be the Wrestlemania of constitutional challenges.

Lawyer Paul Lewin will argue I have to right to grow marijuana.

The federal government will argue that I only have the right to possess medicinal marijuana, but not grow it.

We have a roommate sized mountain of material from Health Canada to review before then. This is based on their many, many, months of pre-trial testimony.

Their own testimony will sink them.

But just in case we’re seeking and vetting 50 people to testify on my behalf.

We’re looking for category one people who can’t find a doctor to sign their paperwork.

Or people in the Health Canada legal program who have had some sort of serious problem.

We have one fellow who had “too many lights” so the RCMP raided his home. Only to discover he had the legal amount of plants for his permit.

Usual players need not apply.

Health Canada asked, but didn’t get the court to agree, so I’ve ignored their request, not to expose HC testimony to the media.

Apparently Health Canada doesn’t want the world to know only seven per cent of doctors in Ontario are participating in their program.

It’s worst if you live in a rural community like St. Catharines or Welland.

Adding to this is the family doctor shortage in Ontario rural communities.

How do you get legal medicinal marijuana if you can’t even find a family physician?

People in PEI have even more serious problems.

If every person qualified for legal medical marijuana in PEI, only 1 in 4 would be able to access Health Canada’s program.

Based on the number of doctors participating in PEI.

Some of the information from Health Canada is downright sickening.

You have to smoke or vaporize marijuana just to calm down after reading it.

It’d be funny.

If people didn’t rely on them to alleviate their pain and suffering.

A high school student contacted me a while back to do a project on marijuana and me for his media class. Complete with quote from Marc Emery on your’s truly.

I think it turned out awesome.

Hope it bodes well for you man, a little over a year ago some lady cut me off doing a u turn and I slammed into doing a buck twenty, nothing broken, but my back, hip and neck haven’t been the same, at any rate pretty much refuse to take pills, even over the counter pain meds make me feel discombobulated. Cannabis helps the pain, and helped the concussion symptoms during the first few months. Doc is no help, if you asked him he’d probably tell you there’s nothing he can find wrong with me, and thats that (testing for useless crap like arthritis… now I didn’t spend 7 years in med school, but car accident induced arthritis a few months afterward… seems like a waste of time). Anyways, after my experience with him I feel its futile to try and find another in a smaller town with few doctors accepting new patients. When I mentioned to him that that cannabis helped tremendously it was like I was talking to a wall, after about the forth visit, he finally asked my daily intake, but didn’t say anything one way or another. So I’ve decided to go it alone, and worry about the consequences if they should arise, which is pretty sad just to feel something close to normality.

At any rate, I probably had a good point many a minute ago before I started ranting, but its long forgotten.

Good luck, I hope the judge decides in your favour!
