There’s very little recoup time this year between Yonge and Dundas 420 Smoke Out and Toronto’s Global Marijuana March. I knew well in advance that it was going to be rough after 420, but my intention was to let younger hash mob members do their thing.
I’m pretty crippled up.
But doing well and anticipate a great Global Marijuana March.
Thankfully my four months of personal pilates has really paid off.
Who knew between three and four thousand people would demonstrate against unjust marijuana laws by openly flaunting the law, Tuesday, Apr. 20.
Requiring all of us Toronto Hash Mob members to bring serious game.
Many of the same reporters have attended our previous rallies (thankfully) and commented questioned about our incredible growth. We had about four times what we had two years ago.
We used a variety of methods to draw stoners to Yonge and Dundas Square. An effective social media campaign, a traditional postering campaign, live to air media appearances (television station CP24 broadcast live from the scene all afternoon) and attendees using their mobile devices to tell their friends what was happening. All of this worked remarkably in creating a viral flash mob.
I think Toronto Hash Mob is the perfect representation of what a flash mob can be with just a little politics thrown in. Protests should be fun. Flash mobs may have a political bent when organized by activists.
Many in media argue most in attendance were there to smoke weed and had little political reasons to do so. Thus they are flash mobbing it up. Tho to be fair, Minister of Justice Rob Nicholson held a 4/20 press conference where he uttered the Liberal line of not going after possessors only traffickers and growers.
My Don Jail prison jumper, which got props from two stoners who recognized it as “from the east,” will be bedazzled on Fried Day at Craft Day. That’s my plan. I think.
Make it something Honk Tonk Man would wear if he attended a weed rally.

I’ve already completed my Cannabis Champion of the World title. Had some minor problems with the design on 420, which I’ve fixed on Craft Day. Maddchronic does a Stanley Bong impression during Toronto Global Marijuana March that hasn’t been seen on the streets of Toronto since Maple Leafs last won the cup.
We should Craft Day him a Stanley Bong.
I’m encouraging everyone to use Friday, Apr. 30 to get gunned on ganja and make marijuana theatrically props for Global Marijuana March. Toronto Hash Mob has three megaphones, many flags, and we’re working on cannabis costumes.
My own Craft Day is going to be epic.
